Danielle de Ruiter is a dedicated softball coach, offering specialized lessons in both softball and slowpitch for teams and individual athletes. Danielle brings extensive experience from her time as a player and coach. She played three seasons of NCAA Division 1 Softball at the University of North Alabama (2019-2021), two seasons at NJCAA Division 1 Pensacola State College (2016-2018), and served as an assistant coach at Thomas University (NAIA) in Georgia and East Georgia State College (NJCAA). She also coached the Tex Town Tigers Ladies 1 Softball team in Enschede, Netherlands. 🇳🇱
Danielle has spent the past 15 years building her skills both on and off the field. She has also been involved in player development as a coach with the Canada Futures Developmental Program, a Canadian travel ball recruiting team, and assisted in Team Canada tryouts.
Throughout her playing career, Danielle earned multiple accolades, including ASUN Conference Honor Roll mentions, UNA Scholar-Athlete of the Month, Panhandle Conference Second-Team All-Conference, and Softball BC Minor Athlete of the Year. She was also a member of the Canadian U19 Women’s National Team and won gold with Team BC at the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Originally from South Surrey, British Columbia, 🇨🇦 Danielle holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Coaching and Officiating, and a Master’s in Professional Studies with a focus on Community Development, both from the University of North Alabama.
