Danielle de Ruiter is a softball coach and instructor with more than 15 years in competitive softball as a player and coach. She played three NCAA Division I seasons (2019–2021) at the University of North Alabama, after two NJCAA Division I seasons at Pensacola State College (2016–2018). That collegiate career is where she built her understanding of elite-level mechanics, game strategy and athlete development.

Her coaching puts technical excellence, mental toughness and long-term growth first.

As a player she was a member of the Canadian U19 Women’s National Team, won gold with Team BC at the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, and was Softball BC Minor Athlete of the Year. Her other honours include ASUN Conference Honor Roll, UNA Scholar-Athlete of the Month and Panhandle Conference Second-Team All-Conference.

Originally from South Surrey, British Columbia, Danielle holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Coaching and Officiating, and a Master’s in Professional Studies focused on Community Development, both from the University of North Alabama.
